You can register as a Personal Assistant (PA) or Carer for support roles across the UK. Self-employed PAs and Micro-Providers are also welcome to register their services.
A Personal Assistant (PA) is paid to help an individual in any aspect of day to day life. In most cases, they are employed by the individual, who will pay tax and National Insurance contributions for them.
A PA employed by an individual has Employment rights and is entitled to holidays and sick pay. The terms and conditions of work such as start and finish times and hours of work are agreed at the start of the Employment, just like in any other job.
A Direct Payment is social care funding from the Local Authority, Personal Budget through NHS Funding- which can be spent to meet an individual’s needs in the way they choose.
Direct Payments allow individuals to receive money from the Local Authority/NHS to pay for the care and support that they have identified as right for them.
Training Verification
PA Profiles can receive a verified tick on their profiles if they have completed our BSB Training. This will be approved by the BSB National PA Hub Team.
