Job Description
We are looking for a friendly, patient and reliable Personal Assistant to support a 22-year-old man living in supported living accommodation in South East London.
He has learning disabilities and would benefit from someone who can provide practical, person-centred support with day-to-day living, while encouraging independence and helping him enjoy activities within his local community.

Roles and Responsibilities
Supporting with everyday routines and day-to-day living.
Encouraging and promoting independence.
Supporting him to access the local community and attend activities and appointments.
Accompanying him on outings, walks and social activities.
Providing companionship and positive social interaction.
Supporting communication and helping him express his choices and preferences.
Encouraging participation in activities that are meaningful and enjoyable to him.
Providing reassurance and support when required.
Working respectfully alongside his existing support network and following agreed care and support plans.

Required Training
Previous experience working in a similar role would be beneficial, particularly experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities. However, we are also keen to hear from applicants who demonstrate the right attitude, patience, reliability and willingness to learn.
